Mixing it up with salsa

Cheryl Burke's dance studio hosted a strange mix of guests on Monday, Jan 10. Teenagers, Mountain View City Council members, dancers and police were lingering in the dance studio on Shoreline Boulevard. Local youth waited in wooden chairs that lined the mirrored walls of the newly expanded studio owned by Burke of "Dancing with the Stars" fame. This is The Dance Club Mountain View, a new offering of the Mountain View Police Activities League.

Bravo! What an opportunity to get our teens focused on an organized group activity. It builds trust, self esteem, and social skills. Keep it affordable and the kids will come.
