I was a leader of the Palo Alto Area Red Cross Disaster Action Team at the incident reported above. It is unfortunate that more people are not aware of the services provided to the community on a 24/7 basis by the Red Cross volunteers. Our mission is to help disaster victims with their immediate emergency needs. We are funded solely by the generous contributions of local citizens.
