New law requires carbon monoxide detectors in homes

Cal Fire officials are reminding the public that starting today, July 1, state law requires carbon monoxide detectors to be installed in every home.

In further news, Mountain View's unbelievably visionary city council is considering requiring all residents to wear safety goggles when trimming their fingernails.

Meanwhile, Homeboy, with no employment prospects on the horizon and no possibility of advancement, sees this town as easy pickings, and drops down from East Palo Alto and Oaktown periodically to score a new iPod or some other gadget that nobody really needs.
