"Because of St. Francis' strong reputation in both academics and athletics....."

St Francis does have a good athletic reputation (although MVHS girls did win CCS soccer this year), but Academics?

Seriously?

2011 mean SAT score: MVHS 1795 (79th percentile) StF 1689 (68th percentile)

2011 mean SAT Math 2 score: MVHS 669 St F 591

2011 mean SAT Biology score: MVHS 702 St F 603

2011 mean SAT Chemistry score: MVHS 730 St F 596

2011 mean ACT composite score: MVHS 27 St F 24.8

Academically Mountain View is very strong. It's as good, if not better then St. Francis. Athletically it's solid in some sports but Saint Francis is clearly stronger as a whole. It sounds like this camps main focus is helping attract more local ATHLETIC talent to public schools in the area like MVHS. The camp should help some but the most important factor is the specific sport doing well during their HS season and the coaching staff for each sport.

I think both schools most likely graduate great students and the margin of difference at each school is not going to have a life changing effect, except for those athletes that are going to be offered a full scholarship to college.
