NASA wants to dump Hangar One, airfield

I know it wouldn't be very popular to everyone, but it would be great if they could close one Moffett runway every Saturday or Sunday and let kids run their personal cars down that "dragstrip", something car owners use to be able to do in Fremont before Fremont International Raceway was closed and turned into new neighborhoods.

It's ridiculous that folks have to go all the way up to SONOMA COUNTY to do so now at Sears Point Raceway (or whatever they call it today). Fremont's track certainly reduced illegal and dangerous street racing when it was available.

If M.V. inherits part of Moffett them maybe they might get one runway, and can then make money turning it into a new south bay racetrack (dreaming).

Hey, it's better than more condos.
