Businesses: developer using fence to force land sale
Around Town, posted by Editor, Mountain View Voice Online, on May 20, 2012 at 2:28 pm

The owners of several small businesses say a cyclone fence went up behind their properties the evening of May 10 with no real purpose other than to cut off access to their shops and force the sale of their properties.

I can't think of a better way for a developer to really annoy his future customer base than to make life hard for The Milk Pail. How dumb and greedy. There's great potential to work with Steve and use his operation as a traffic builder instead of this stupid scorched earth policy.

lets see... Milk Pail is total chaos with their customers driving and walking in a totally oblivious and dangerous manner...when they are not being overtly aggressive.

The Halal market is horrendously dirty inside. I can't imagine they get much return business.

Wow, these actions by the greedy developer is making the whole development look quite ominous. They're intimidating our homegrown, local businesses by setting up illegal fences on property they don't even own yet. This developer sounds greedy and unethical, and I hate that they're taking over one of our most convenient shopping areas.

Not to mention that as a Mountain View resident, I would much rather have The Milk Pail, Jo Ann Fabrics, and Bevmo (stores I actually frequent) than a hotel and yet another office building.
