I'm so tired of this argument. Where are the bans on chicken or beef? It seems a bit shady to me that foie gras has become the target of animal cruelty and yet these same activists aren't getting chicken and steak banned. Why not? I'm guessing it's easier to ban a dish that can run into the hundreds of dollars but the US government is unlikely to let them put a ban on the country's cash cow (or chickens) as it were. Injecting growth hormones into an animal, pink meat slime, or genetically engineered produce is just as bad. Where are those laws? I will continue to eat foie gras and support any business who chooses to sell it OR give it away.

Foie gras is a product of cruelty. People who buy foie gras or who patronize restaurants that serve it are supporting cruelty to animals.
