Rapper E-40 says city officials kept him out of Shoreline show
Other Issues, posted by Editor, Mountain View Voice Online, on Aug 27, 2012 at 12:30 pm

When the Rock the Bells hip hop festival hit the Shoreline Amphitheater on Aug. 25, Bay Area hip hop icons Too Short and E-40 were conspicuously absent after performing in the first leg of the tour in San Bernardino. E-40 claims Mountain View doesn't want the duo at Shoreline, but city officials say they have nothing to do with the show's line-up.

Sounds to me like E40 and Too Short might have set the price too high for their performances and Shoreline said "No thanks." ... and NOW the rappers want to blame it on the Shoreline Ampitheater management. HaHaHa ... rap is crap, and that's the truth! It is simply guttural, gradeschool rhyming performed with grunts and bad, bad "muzik" in the background.

E40 Too Short?? Who cares. They bring nothing to the table......rap is crap is lightweight compared to what I would like to call it, but of course they delete ALL my posts......wait a minute....maybe it was the MV Voice that kept E40 and Too Short out of the concert. Seems like they don't let ppl voice their own opinion..........I'll come back in 4-5 hours, to see my post......GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is really a long stretch from the bill graham days when he would book acts into concerts. is there something racial going on here? just go out into the general public to see or experience what discrimination really is. these people should cool down and find where they would be heralded in

USA, illiterate means 'unable to read or write'. I think you meant to say that he uses bad (or poor?) grammar.

Illiteracy leads to poor spoken grammar.

We can mock all we like.

Even if we do think this rapper is mistaken about the City caring one way or the other about his appearance at Shoreline.. this guy is laughing all the way to the bank.
