Los Altos police announced they have arrested two people for a June 23 burglary in Los Altos Hills in which burglars stole a car and credit cards, which were later used to purchase $30,000 in goods, including a rental car.

Kudos to the Los Altos PD an SJPD on the arrests, but need more information from the 'Voice', please. Was Espinoza released on bail? or on her own recognizance? If she was released on 'O.R.', please tell us who the judge was, so we might note that for election time. Also quite worthwhile to follow this story as it procedes through court.

Probably the biggest bust in LAPD history. The last time I had a run-in with them, I heard a "pop" as something hit my car at Grant & Fremont. Driving back later that night I see 6 kids sitting on the ground, hands zip-tied behind them. The officer said they were being booked on "projectiles impacting vehicles." I asked him "what projectiles?" "Hard bread rolls" and he emphasized "hard."
