Q&A on MV's cancer spike

A report that found a spike in cancer rates in northwestern Mountain View will be the topic of an EPA presentation and question-and-answer session on Thursday, Nov. 29, at Mountain View's Senior Center.

Shouldn't the area east of Shoreline be northeastern MV?

I agree with you, Jim, that the area described sould be northeastern Mountain View.

I also noticed that groundwater sampling is being conducted this week on Devonshire Ave near the Superfund sites.

Perhaps The Voice staff can find out if this is related to any EPA studies, since I have not seen any announcements from the City about this.

NW Resident--all of the homes in the groundwater sampling area got an EPA flier describing the purpose of the tests. They are checking concentrations of TCE in the groundwater. Here's a scan of the flier I got:

Tony - thanks for the link to the EPA notice. It provides a good overview of the sampling locations and background on this activity.
