Books in hand, Claudia and her son Julio leave the Mountain View Bookmobile at Castro Elementary School on Dec. 4. On Tuesday, the City Council approved an $89,000 donation from Google that will keep the city's bookmobile on the road through June of 2014.

Bravo! This bookmobile makes a big difference for families who live near Castro School. We know many people who are regular bookmobile customers and for whom it is their primary source of reading materials at home. Thanks, Google and MV Library

I've said it before, and I can't wait to say it again:

Love you, Google! You're awesome! You're the best! Thank you for all you do to keep Mountain View thriving!

Frankly I've never understood why Mountain View has a book mobile.

This city isn't that big. How hard is it to get to the library?

I'd rather see this money spent on the library itself. Something that benefits everyone who uses the library instead of a few isolated communities.

Thanks Google. I would give you a huge high-five if I could. This is a great service and what a treat for kids, seniors and everyone in between that it gets to continue and thrive. Thank you for that!
