Council discusses Hangar One reuse

Council member Jac Siegel is calling for the city to take an official role in the reuse of historic Hangar One, and as a result the City Council briefly discussed the subject at its regular meeting Tuesday.

    Yes, the hangar has been around and a point of interest but unless it was turned into a usable building or a hugh musuem it is currently a hugh waste of space...pun intended.

    Get the recycling crews out there and scrap ever inch that you can and turn the land into something useful...maybe a park

    Other suggestions:

    1) Let FedEx and UPS use this space as their airport and shipping center so local airports with passengers don't have to deal with delays due to these jets taking up a flight window.

    2) Let Google take over this area...I sure they can think of something.

    3) Stanford student housing

    4) NASCAR race track - good for business / not for noise

    5) Hugh park - expand Shoreline Park

    6) Solar panel energy field

    Add on to the list....use this land. Don't just let some non-usable structure sit there.
