ABAG Bags the Bay Area

The proponents of this travesty claim that it will mitigate global warming, save water, provide everyone with a home and cheap affordable, efficient transportation, and a chicken in every pot, etc, etc, etc.
Well this all sounds very good on the surface, but if you start peeling back the layers, you start to see that this is nothing more than an unmitigated power grab by a bunch of bureaucrats that want only two things: Power and Control.
Why else would they put such a massive undertaking in the hands of an un-elected body? Why else would they refuse to allow such a massive life-changing plan to be placed on the ballot so WE can vote on it? Why else would they have conducted a voice vote only, so that there is no record of who voted yes and who voted no? You don't have to be a person of faith to know that this stinks to high heaven!
Plan Bay Area should be called by its true name, "PLAN FREEDOM CRUSHER!". The aim is to make every city in the Bay Area exactly the same so that you cannot escape from their tyrannical decisions. These are the same people who used "police powers of the state" to enact bans on plastic bags!
We each chose to live in our cities because of the special environment that it has. From our parks, to the local stores, to our individual neighborhoods, we all appreciate those things that are unique to our city. Plan Bay Area will destroy that and turn the Bay Area in to a desert of homogenized overcrowded, overbuilt, and overpriced real estate.
I urge everyone to act now to put a stop to all these un-elected and unaccountable bodies telling us how we have to live, what we get to eat, and what we have to buy. Do this by writing to your city council representatives in opposition to this, and I would suggest that during the next election, you vote out of office every single member of ABAG. That will send a clear message that we want our Government to be representative and transparent!
