The hiring of the new CMIO is another example of the failure of the administration and Board at El Camino Hospital, beginning with the time of former CEO Lee Domanico. Many of his decisions were based on whether he could get stock options from hospital vendors or a job for his wife. The ECHO debacle was one of many failures which are still being cleaned up today, 18 months after Domanico left. Good luck to Pifer. He'll need it.

Don't forget Sensitron, where Lee Domanico helped himself to some stock options after El Camino purchased the system! Nice work if you can get it, and have the Board approve it too! By the way, the El Camino Hospital District Board has a history of lying about the compensation of executives. Dominick Curatola, MD was a major source of false information when he was on the Board.
