LASD to lay off 60 staffers

The Los Altos School District plans to send out 60 pink slips this March in an effort to reduce expenses as it faces nearly $3 million in state budget cuts.

One wrote "The district also has lost funds as property values decrease, Justus said, and now must cut $2.6 million from its budget." Actually there are no such Los Altos home values decrease at all. Los Altos RE markets always are still hot there. Ouch ! I'm living in Morgan Hill = 35% decrease in home value with some school staffs layoff.
