It will be nice to have BART all the way upto Mountain View and Palo Alto etc. It should come to the entire Santa Clara county. I remember from the old Alioto days (Joseph Alioto was the mayor of San Francisco from 1968 to 1976) when BART was being constructed, the cost was expected to be around $2-3 Billion for the entire circle which would have included Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. Per Wikipedia Web Link, "Alioto put his energy behind the development of three major building projects: the Bay Area Rapid Transit System (BART).....etc". He was blocked by the naysayers, so BART remains like an almost a hook, instead of a circle. Due to rise in the cost of land, labor and equipment etc, we see immensely high figures for completing the remainder of the BART system. I don't hear any movement to build BART tracks in San Mateo county at all.
