Mayor Abe-Koga named 'woman of the year'

Mayor Margaret Abe-Koga was paid a surprise visit last week by state Assembly member Paul Fong, who honored her as "woman of the year" of the 22nd state assembly district.

My comment from yesterday seems to have disappeared, so let's try it again...

What has Margaret Abe-Koga done to earn the award besides getting elected? Founded a charity? Fed the homeless? Rescued a puppy from a well?

This is not a dig at her. I am just hoping that the real reasons are more than political correctness and political pandering.
