Trustees put foreign language on table

The Mountain View Whisman school board decided last week to formalize its interest in exploring foreign language instruction -- a possible first step to teaching subjects like Mandarin Chinese to the district's elementary school students.

In looking for a goal to reach, the John Stanford bilingual public elementary school in Seattle would a worthy one for Mountain View:

Hope you don't get into the same problems as Palo Alto. Word of advice, don't ask PACE for help.
