Runners head to state competition

As most local students start to focus their attention on a long Thanksgiving weekend, a few will likely have their sights set on Saturday's California Interscholastic Federation State Cross Country Championships.

Good luck to the Mountain View girls and boys cross country teams, who are heading to compete in Fresno this weekend:

Representing the Mountain View girls are Izzie Baney, Martina De Gues, Sadie Navarro, Zoe Pappas, Carol Passarelli, Allison Sturges and Sarah Wells. A special shout-out to Erin Hicks, a Los Altos High School senior who will compete individually.

Running for the boys are Alex McGuirk, Aubrey Myjer, Ian Myjer, Brian Raichlen, Garret Rowe, Parker Schuh and Chris Wells.
