Congratulations to Sarah Loebner and Joanna Maltbaek, who were honored as students of month for December by the Mountain View Los Altos High School District board of trustees at their last meeting.

Loebner is a senior at Los Altos High School. She has been member of the varsity tennis team for three years and is the vice president of the Amnesty International club. Loebner participates in several other school organizations including ASB, Girls for Change, Challenge: Success and the Jew Crew. She has traveled the past two summers to Israel with a community service group.

Mountain View high senior Maltbaek is an avid traveler. She spent last summer in Peru where she helped build an orphanage and taught English and physics at a local school. Throughout high school she has participated in volleyball, soccer and track. She is also a photographer and serves as senior class vice president in ASB.
