Free Concert this Friday: Downtown Los Altos
Around Town, posted by Alicia Crank, a resident of the Shoreline West neighborhood, on Jun 8, 2010 at 10:13 am

Hosted by Community Hope and Sober Events (CHASE).

Our 4th annual "CHASE on the Plaza" is coming to Community Plaza in Los Altos on Friday, June 11. Concert time is from 2pm-5pm. Everyone is invited to gather for this free concert commemorating the birthday of local teen, Chase Rogers.

Chase attended St. Francis High School and graduated from Mountain View High School. Dying from a drug overdose three and a half years ago, he would have been 22 years old this June.

The Performers:

The Good Hurt is a four piece indie/pop/rock outfit currently based in Seattle. With four part vocal harmonies, influences ranging from Jazz, Soul and Motown to an onstage chemistry that will make you want to shake your hips, The Good Hurt's music is an experience. While hearing is believing - they are also easy on the eyes.

Catherine Rose Smith

Folk-pop singer/songwriter with a penchant for melodies and in irrepressible pop sensibility. Loves experimenting with unexpected sounds and would music undertones. Inspired by Joni Mitchell and Jeff Buckley.

Momo Smitt

Socially-conscious hip hop artist, brutally honest lyrics speak of pressing political and environmental issues as well as the danger of substance abuse. Through haunting instrumentals and rapid fire lyricism, he captivates with thought provoking displays of limitless vulnerability.

The CHASE agenda needs to be fully explored by parents prior to protect children. This group's tactics of penetrating student groups at LAHS leaves much to be questioned.
