It's great that people are signing up to run for the new districts, but what would be even better is if people would run against some of the current board members. The water district needs more than a couple new faces on the board.

Are Beechham and Becker going to cut there own pay scales, or are they only concerned with making claims that the public wants to hear to get the seat? Cost of living in this area is one of the highest in the country!!

More politicians is not what any community in CA needs, look where its already go the people.

Here are some more politicians claiming to have a cure all. Public employees are easy targets for these so called champions. One advice for all you all wannabees, an average worker is not overpaid. These guys make it sound like that they would rather have public employees starve and beg at the corner of the streets rather than take home a decent paycheck. Ever wonder if these guys ever took a pay cut in their lives. It's easy to preach!!! Most of the water district employees don't own homes and are struggling to put food on the table as their spouses are losing work. They are struggling with childcare issues, the childcare center at the District site is so expensive that most of the District employees cannot afford it. We don't have stocks like the private sector folks that we can sell and make a living. Our benefits eligibilty for retiremnet has been cut to 20 years and you have to reire from the district to get it. Who works in a same job for 20 years!! Duhhhhh!!!Get real, Grow a brain and stop these vicious lies about the water district employees being overpaid.
