Youth Advisory Committee Takes Their Oath to Serve Mountain View
Schools & Kids, posted by Kimberly Castro, a resident of the Castro City neighborhood, on Feb 21, 2008 at 8:26 am

Our Youth Advisory Committee will be sworn in to service by the Mountain View City Council on February 26, 2008 at the regular Council meeting at 6:30pm in Mountain View Council Chambers. The City of Mountain View is proud of 10 High School students who responded to the call to action put out by the Community Services Department and the Mountain View City Council. This committee will allow our Youth to have a more prominent voice in Mountain View. On September 11, 2007 the City Council voted to establish a Youth Advisory Committee thus replacing the existing Youth Advisory Group. This Council move means that the newly formed Committee will be part of the formal policy making process. Mountain View desires to be a community who values our youth. Please join me by congratulating the following members of the newly formed Youth Advisory Committee and their staff advisor John Marchant:

Jacquelyn Cheng

Kacy Clark

Maryna Darikhno

Ashley Issac

Diana Jafar

Nikki Prichard

Urvashi Reddy

Dan Tran

Megan Vanni

Richard Yu

Sincerely,

Kimberly Castro

Youth Resources Manager
