What a great story. And what a great couple! This is so generous. It could really change some lives - these lovely children will get help when they need it most.
This couple has been making targeted donations directly to the District, in amounts similar to this, since at least 2003 (haven't read all the minutes!). BTW, Castro is one of the Title I schools that will be losing Federal money if the plan to drop federal aid/oversight goes into place (an earlier N. Veronin article).
Don't miss out on the discussion!
