If you've ever crossed any of our major intersections, you'll know they are not pedestrian friendly. The lights are too short at many and drivers impatiently make turns while pedestrians in the intersections, close by.
To get people out of cars for short trips, the city must be made more pedestrian and bicycle friendly. Otherwise, people will stay in their cars where they feel safer.
