MVWSD Should Look to the Milpitas School Board for Example
Schools & Kids, posted by MVWSD Watchdog, a resident of the Old Mountain View neighborhood, on Jun 1, 2011 at 4:51 pm

According to the SJ Mercury News, the Milpitas school district on Wednesday placed the principal of John Sinnott Elementary School on leave in the wake of newly retrieved emails indicating she had an affair with district Superintendent Karl Black. Why is it that the MVWSD board continues to look the other way and not investigate the Ghysels-Mizell affair?

Better yet, why didn't the Voice get involved with a Public Records Act request like the Milpitas Post did, and which required the Milpitas school district to release district emails?

Ahh, but the situation in Mountain View was different! According to board member who was school board president at the time, Superintendent Ghysels and Principal Mizell were "...two people who found each other...." (as quoted in the Voice)

Hmph. Yes they found each other alright, while married to others and Ghysels refused to say whether the affair had started when he hired Mizell away from another school district.

I agree, the MVWSD board did not step up to the plate on this issue as they too were under his spell.
