Around Town, posted by Editor, Mountain View Voice Online, on Nov 18, 2011 at 2:20 pm

They need to rename the "water board". Waterboard is a trademark of the Bush administration.

Ha, I must admit I also picked up the wrong kind of "water boarding" from the headline.

But good for Mr Schmidt to recognize the conflict and recusing himself. Too bad the environmental organization lost a staffer, and too bad it's impossible to wear the two hats simultaneously.

I thought water boarding was illegal?

Unfortunately Mr Schmidt should have resigned from the board. He is an ideologue who is only interested in pushing a political agenda of environmental groups. He is part of the problem with the current divisions o the board. Dont look for any leadership from Mr Schmidt.

Political Insider,

Wouldn't that be unfair to the plurality of people who voted for him, presumably knowing that he is a committed environmentalist?
