CSMA Jazz Jam, Sunday, July 29

Original post made by csma on Jul 25, 2012

Community School of Music and Arts (CSMA) hosts Jazz Jams several times per year - with one coming up this Sunday, July 27!

The Jam is open to all players and vocalists ranging in experience from professional to intermediate levels and of all ages. On the average, a typical CSMA Jammer is one who has had several years of playing experience on gigs or at other jams and is comfortable playing tunes from the Real Book, either from memory or sight reading the chart at the jam. In addition, if there is sufficient demand, we will organize a coached session for emerging players.

Details:

* Sun., July 29, 2012
* 1:00 - 5:30 PM
* Three one-hour sets with 10 minute breaks between sets
* Three rooms: Reay Recital, Ensemble and PreSchool rooms
* About CSMA: Web Link
* Directions to CSMA: Web Link
* Admission: $10/person. Free for qualifying CSMA Jazz students

To sign up, fill in the online form here: bit.ly/MIBEFD by NOON on Friday, July 27.
