What exceptional leadership and commitment! Thank you, Maurice Ghysels, Bruce Barsi, and Nelson Iwai for taking your strong belief that excellent education requires a fairer share of the state budget. California students, and California residents, can't afford to have schools that are funded near the bottom of all of our states. To have an "education for the world ahead" we need the resources to get there. We often hear "talk the talk, but walk the walk." Now we can add "bike the bike" to this expression of actual commitment to a worthy cause. Ride on, Maurice, Bruce, and Nelson!

It's not often that people go out of their way to do something extraordinary for others. Dr. Ghysels, Bruce Barsi and Mr. Iwai did -- and they did for our public schools. I appreciate the effort they made for all of the students in Mountain View (and two of the three don't even have children in the district). Just imagine if each of us did something of our own making to help our students and schools (like write a letter to the Governor for starters)! Thanks guys for going the extra mile!
