If you attended the Old Mountain View Neighborhood Association City Council candidate forum on Monday night, chances are your question was answered by one candidate, but not by all of them.

In general I frown on rules regarding behavior. It is sad that the last few generations will be remembered in history as those consumers without consience. So, of course we need to wean away from plastic and it is not a big deal compaired to WW2 and the great depression when EVERYONE recycled and lost family or home. so buck up and carry a canvas bag for groceries already. Fast Food? hey its revenue, and the demand? let us have creative exceptions here. I know that the store owners want to be in good grace as I see their notes to be quiet or not litter in the hood. Bikes I like! Years ago I could not figure why a perfectly good four lane got stunted to two. Well IT Works! The traffic is easier to cross or merge, pedestrians have a clear view, bike lanes no prob., and the left turn center and merge lane keeps traffic moving better and safer for all. No Brainer. I have a remedy for traffic,- Just drive slower than everybody else... NOT! mark out

I agree with several of the other commentators that Jim Neal, John Inks and John McAllister are the only candidates with the interests of the people of Mountain View at heart. The others all appear to have their heads in the clouds.
