Chick-Fil-A Challenge!!! Around Town, posted by Jim Neal, a resident of the Old Mountain View neighborhood, on Oct 17, 2012 at 4:35 pm Jim Neal is a member (registered user) of Mountain View Online
Now that the city council has thrown out the chicken with the broth water, I am issuing a challenge to all those that voted "No" or abstained! They said the reason was because it does not fit in with the General Plan which has as some of the objectives to reduce cars and CO2 emissions. Ok, fine. The challenge is this: "Get out of your car for 1 year!". That's right, I am asking each member of the city council that shot down the chicken strip (drive through), to put their emissions where their mouth is AND STOP DRIVING! If it's good enough for all of us, clearly you should all set the example. What does everyone else think?

This " ramming down the throat " of a future " bicycle based economical base " is one of the reasons I left the SFBA and M.V. in the first place.
If you want to behave like the old Soviet Union and put up those Soviet Bloc type buildings, just remember you have to have the VTA GO EVERYWHERE in Mountain View! While you are at it, how about sponsoring a TRABANT dealership with recycled paper cars!
Or would people running M.V. like to be called " Boulder West " ?
They have the same amount of silliness there as well.
