Council supports flood basin

A flood basin at the Cuesta Annex came a step closer to reality on Tuesday, after the City Council voted 5-1 in favor of the idea.

I'm not convinced that the council has done any real due diligence here. Did any councilperson go and look at any similarly converted site? A few pretty pictures are all it takes for the council to make an irreversible decision that will save a handful of families a few bucks on flood insurance?

Unless I'm mistaken, Save Open Space is one guy.
