If they want to make a difference, they should post photos of people being arrested. Also post names, addresses, and mug shots. Social media is great for quickly distributing information about dangerous drivers. Other police departments are doing this. For some reason, newspapers rarely publish mug shots any more.

They should also post mugshots of any aggressive drivers caught violating the laws such as tailgaters and excessive speeders. Get the cell phone users as well. All these groups of drivers have taken lives on the roads due to their selfish behaviors.

This is ridiculous. Put that second cop in another car and get him to work.

We don't need to pay a cop to give neat-o play by play commentary about what his partner is doing. How's about that cop also "Do" instead of just tweeting about what another cop is doing.

Someone's budget needs reviewing big time!

Who wants to read MVPD tweets over a holiday weekend? Are people really that isolated and addicted to their stupid smart phones? Pathetic waste of money considering what a MVPD Lt makes. And we had better not see him submitting for overtime this month if he's got the time to do this. Where is the City Council on this one.

It is somewhat disappointing to read the negative comments regarding Police use of Twitter. By using Social Netwoking Sites, the Police are able to be more transparent; easily more accessible; and better engaged with their local community. Twitter is also very good at disseminating information to the public, and vice versa. The twitter campaign was to highlight the dangers of drink driving, inherent in all Countries, and Police Forces regularly use this tactic as a Community engagement, which raises awareness.

The comments made in my opinion, are of little constructive help, and at worse childish. The resident of Castro City: what a waste of your time commenting !
