I have fond memories of playing in this tournament as a kid...the pancake b-fast and back then, we hosted kids from visiting schools. My 8th grade year we hosted a boy from SLO. Good stuff, good memories.

I was fortunate enough to play in the 3rd and 4th tournaments, since my class made up the bulk of our team in the 7th and 8th grade. I remember hosting a player from El Cerrito one of those years and it was a great experience. The SLO team was a tournament regular in those early years.

This year I'll be involved in coaching one of the local teams, so it will be good to experience the tournament as an adult this time and hope it makes a lasting impression on our players before the start high school this fall.
