|Teen attacked while riding bike

A teenager riding his bicycle in Mountain View on Monday night was seriously injured when an assailant struck him in the head, police said today.

Any chance he was attacked simply because he was riding a bicycle? Was there an attempt to steal the bicycle?

Sounds gang related or retaliatory. Apparently the guy was lying in wait for this guy.
If nothing was stolen, the odds of some loony crouching in a bush and just randomly hitting someone over the head is pretty small.

Please don't bring up the words gangs or day workers. This is obviously about legal gun owners getting out of control. Ban assault rifles!

The city needs to do a lot of work to bring this part of the city up. Too many hoods in the area. I have done more foreclosures in this area I care to count. Its telling.
