Train strikes man in Palo Alto

A 22-year-old Palo Alto man was struck and killed by a Union Pacific Railroad Co. freight train Monday night north of Churchill Avenue, a Caltrain spokeswoman has said.

Once again... poor reporting.

The man was not struck by a train. The man committed suicide by stepping in front of a train.

Let's get it right someday.

Trains do not jump off the tracks and pursue people with the intent to kill them. People step in front of trains to commit suicide....

The incident the idiot above me is talking about and this one is different. The one he is talking about was tuesday morning, while this was monday night. I know the kid, and believe me it was not suicide.

Desperate times, desperate measures, I've lived in MV for decades and don't remember so many suicides on the tracks.
