The Navy is putting the "finishing touches" on a report evaluating options for Moffett Field's Hangar One, home of the USS Macon airship in the 1930s, and the announcement will come "if not next week, the week after," a Navy spokesperson said.

I would hate to see this done. I use to live on Moffett Field. Grew up and raised in Mountain View. Whenever flying home from vacaion, we always new we were home when seeing the hangar. Plus the airshows! Things sure are changing - and I would hate to see this demolished.

Here's another article about the announcement, saying that the Navy will remove the toxic siding from the hangar and leave the steel framework in place. They also plan to coat exposed surfaces and demolish interior rooms.
The Save Hangar One Committee is still pushing for restoration of the structure in some way.
