This week's "Voices Around Town" question was: "Do you know any couples who met online?" The five answers are below. Click on the comment box at the bottom and tell us your story!

"My mother and her latest boyfriend met online. She signed up with Yahoo personals and met a guy named Tom. They dated for five months." --Laura Brown, Mountain View

"A friend has tried it. He was successful in that they dated for a couple years. ... It brings together people from different places and different cultures." --Markus Benzenhofer, Santa Clara

"Many. [Some] met through a message board. A lot of people we know use OKCupid.com." --Stephanie and Justyn Black, San Jose

"Tons. I know a baby who is a product of Match.com. He's eight years old. He was an early result." --Sharon McClintock, Mountain View

"It depends on how your define 'couple.' I know people who are dating that met online, but no one who has stayed together long term." --Hannah Friedman, Sunnyvale

Yes! I met my wife on Match.com, and my older brother also met his wife there too. Online dating works well, as long as both participants are honest about themselves and what they want from life.
