Want BCS vs LASD litigation to end? Then say so.

Original post made by Dave Roode, another community, on Jun 5, 2013

The Huttlingler Alliance for Education is circulating a petition calling for an end to the legal battle between the Los Altos School District and Bullis Charter School, and instead is asking for a return to a community based approach. Full explanation:

It is time for the community to get involved. Be a part of solution for all to work collaboratively, think creatively, and put an end to the escalating lawsuits. Make your voice heard. Sign the petition:

Can you not get behind a petition for the community to do what it can to end these lawsuits? Linking to a perceived, and distorted notion, of a funding disparity between two high performing school districts has nothing to do with the lawsuits. You're deflecting. Come on, sign the petition! I did!

Sounds great right? We all want the court battles to stop. What this group really wants is to preserve their place in the LASD power structure. They are perfectly happy to support suits brought by LASD.
They don't think that you should have the right to select an educational option for your children. The exception is when it applies to their own situation. Some of the leaders of this group are out of district parents from Los Altos Hills, who are choosing to go to Gardner Bullis, they also have choices in Palo Alto. Nice. They get a choice and are working hard to eliminate yours.
