H211 (which is associated with Google founders but is not "Google") wants to pay to preserve Hangar One in exchange for leasing 2/3 of the Hangar. Seems more than fair.

Hangar One is now a national treasure? Really? I can't see it.

Just because Google has offered to pay for the remodel of Hangar One doesn't mean they will take on the maintenance costs forever.

That's what I'm worried about. Someone down the road, most likely we the taxpayers, is going to have to pay to maintain that white elephant. No one wants to talk about that.

Other than parking airplanes in it I don't know what other good uses exist for Hangar One. If there were, I think you'd have more people willing to put up money.

I'm against any tax money going to maintain a hangar the military has long since said they no longer require.

Google can park their planes someplace else.

It’s utterly shocking how unresponsive and antagonistic the federal bureaucrats at the Navy, NASA and now the GSA are being on this issue. Obama should listen to his own party’s congressional delegation on this. I’m glad that Representative Eshoo is fighting this, and kudos to the Save Hangar One Committee for keeping the hangar issue alive.

It’s a disgrace how the Obama administration ignores the Bay Area community and the Congressional delegation of his own party. He could order NASA to accept the proposal to re-skin the hangar, which should have been done by now. It’s a national disgrace that NASA and the NAVY have been blowing off fixing Hangar One.

Google doesn't pay taxes per "$60 Billion Tax Loophole" Web Link (per Bloomberg Report). Don't any of you note that there are appearances of favoritism from a federal government set of agencies revealing, the “appearance” of, or maybe just down right Ethics Violations of providing such behemoth corporations, that use tax loopholes competitive advantage over other corporations, with deals, (e.g., a special land lease deals and fuel deals, on federal NASA ARC property. Even other agencies such the NSA funds Google Web Link NASA provides a lease for 40 yrs Web Link for Google to build a city to compete with Facebook, PayPal, etc.?) Don't any of you all see something wrong here? There are many other high tech web search engines companies and more that could also benefit (and they most likely pay taxes) instead of special advantages to tax evaders?? Right?
