Bank robbed by man with threatening note

Mountain View Police are looking for a 50-year-old man who robbed the Heritage Bank of Commerce on El Camino Real near Grant Road June 2 with only a note saying that he had a gun.

Looks like somebody's unemployment funds ran finally ran out. This is going to keep happening with increasing frequency, as times get worse, folks, as long as the powers that be keep saying "Let them eat cake" (see 1789).

maybe he robbed the bank to buy some weed from the new marijuana dispensary. then hopefully he has some left over for munchies at 7-11.

Why are they telling us the suspects race? Oh because he's white...thats why. When the suspect is black they never tell you what race he is...

The Voice does not mention race unless it is relevant to the story.

In this case, there is a bank robbery suspect at large, so we have run a description provided by the police department. You'll notice that this is what we always do when there is a suspect description for someone being sought by police. We do not discriminate against any particular type of people suspected of committing crimes, which should be pretty clear from reading past crime stories that include suspect descriptions.

Implying sick medical marijuana patients rob banks to buy their medicine is deplorable and disgusting. Ignorance has no place here.

Armed guards need to be in our banks. At least it would be a deterrent.
