In an effort to introduce community members to a part of history unknown to some, the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District is sponsoring a Black History Month hike, history presentation and crafts experience to explore how African-Americans played a role in land preservation.

This is terrific and now on my schedule. Thanks to the district. Will they also have an activity showing women's impact?

Typo alert: you said, "all-Black 9th and 10th Calvary". The Buffalo soldiers were fine, decent men, but they were in the Cavalry.
