Using an Internet only computer leaves you with less control over your personal data and is a severe privacy risk. For example, data held by a third party such as Google or your bank do not receive the same Constitutional protections as data held on your personal computer. Moreover, you are at the mercy of the third party when it comes to your data. It is better to store data on your computer under your control and then create backups than to rely on companies to operate in your best interest.
