Prometheus proposes nearly 1,000 new apartments

After a decade almost exclusively developing ownership housing, the city is being flooded with proposals to develop nearly 1,500 apartments. The shift in the real estate market has one developer alone preparing to build 926 new apartments at five sites in Mountain View.

There is one huge problem with so many apartments. History has shown us that apartments do not generate children. Therefore, if you wish to develop a City full of apartments, very soon it will be like San Francisco. SF has the lowest number of children per square mile in the whole Bay area.

Apartments are not the problem with S.F. lack of kids. The schools, us vs them, homeless, housing costs, parking, MUNI, and etc. A mix of ownership, family style rentals with private and public spaces for kids of all ages
