Alta Vista High School isn't anything like most continuation schools, according to Principal Bill Pierce. And AVHS' graduation ceremony made that clear.

Congratulations to the Class of 2013!! Very inspiring to read about the achievements of these students and to good work being done at Alta Vista.

I am so excited and overwhelming proud to read this article. As a former employee of Alta Vista, I can say without hesitation the program and school works! It broke my heart to have to move and leave the staff and school. This by far, all my travels, was the most rewarding time of my life and the students past and present and in the future will be forever changed because of Alta Vista. Education IS Power
