Video productions mashes up ‘The Impresario’ with songs from ‘The Producers’

As artists continue to come up with creative ways to keep performances flowing, Stanford University’s Department of Music is mashing up the work of two geniuses with very different styles — Wolfgang Mozart and Mel Brooks.

A video production titled “The Impresario-Producers” makes a mash-up of Mozart’s “The Impresario” and songs from Brooks’ hit Broadway musical “The Producers,” performed by Stanford students, faculty, alumni, staff, and community members.

The production will be available for online viewing Feb. 26-March 26 at music.stanford.edu.
