What Topics Do You Want to Read About?

Uploaded: Jun 18, 2014
Hi Readers,

I sit in my office thinking up couples topics. My company is my orange cat who rests on my desk next to my laptop.

When I was a manager, then director, then Sr. director in high-tech, I had brainstorming sessions with my team(s). That is probably one of three things I miss from my high-tech days (the others being the people and mentoring).

So please participate in my online brainstorming of topics you want to hear about. I'll take them all into consideration. And I will give credit to you when I write about your idea or question.

Thank you.
We need your support now more than ever. Can we count on you?

Chandrama,

Thank you for your invitation to contribute what we want to say.

I find myself in the middle of contradictions and personal doubts. I am a 63 year old woman. I have three kids, all adults, now. One of my two sons is involved in a plural marriage. He has three wives, and wants more. I have 12 grandchildren from his marriages, and I love them all. Two of his wives are pregnant again. He is an atheist, so it is not about religion. He makes good money as an independent financial investor, and he can support many wives and children. However it bothers me. I believe in one man and one woman. However, my son tells me that he supports gay marriage and plural marriage ("It is a new day, Mom!").

I don't have a rational and logical reason to oppose his reasoning. Why do you think I am so conflicted? I am willing to consider counseling, but my husband thinks I am overreacting. He doesn't have an issue with it.
