It’s the big brace tonight as we find out what’s going to happen. Power on? Power off? The St Mary’s wellness fair in Moraga (where I thought I’d be) already called to say "sorry, no power for you tomorrow." Fire department said we’ve got a 99% chance for lights out up in Portola Valley.

48 hours we could be out of power? Crazy. I should be charging everything instead of using battery power writing this. What are you doing? You should too!

Seriously, I hadn’t really thought about it until right now. Lucky householders got generators, but not moi.

What To Do Before the Power Goes Out – Food Party! files

Think camping – in your house
Find your flashlights and candles
What’s in the fridge I need to keep?
Get ice and coolers ready.
Get water
Eat frozen foods for dinner.
Eat all your ice cream tonight 🙂
Get rid of food you needed to throw out anyways.
Find a special place for chilled medications
Find camp stove. Need fuel?
Find that old coffee cone for hand pour drip
Run your garbage disposal; make sure it is cleaned out. Put some lemon slices down for good measure.
Get rid of smelly things in your fridge like 1/2 cut onions and blue cheese.
Buy foods to snuggle with in the dark: red wine, chocolate, stout beer, campstove tea
