NMAC to elect new board members

The Northeast Mountain View Advisory Council is accepting nominations for board members to serve for one year. Elections will be held at NMAC's next meeting on Jan. 21, 2004. The board is open to voting members of the council who must live in northeast Mountain View in close proximity to any of the four TCE-contaminated sites. Board members will begin serving their term immediately following the election.

The community group is comprised of residents, workers, property owners, and people concerned about TCE contamination in Northeast Mountain View. They meet with Environmental Protection Agency officials to track clean-up activities, learn more about the clean-up process, and offer feedback to the EPA. For more information on NMAC or to nominate yourself or someone else for the board, contact David Cooper, EPA's community involvement coordinator, at cooper.david@epa.gov.
