1/3 -- Commercial burglary, Rengstorff Park

On Dec. 26, an officer took a report from Sears Department Store of two male suspects stealing merchandise by concealing it in a bag and running out of the store. One suspect was caught fleeing the scene. At 4:29 p.m. on Jan. 3, the same officer spotted the other suspect on the handball court of Rengstorff Park and arrested him for the Sears burglary.
1/4 -- Assault with a deadly weapon, 300 block Higdon Ave.

Police responded to a report of a loud struggle in an apartment unit on the 300 block of Higdon Avenue and found a male and female involved in a domestic violence situation. The female suspect had thrown a knife at the male suspect but failed to hit him. She was arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The male suspect was also arrested for violation of a restraining order the female suspect had against him. Both were booked at the Santa Clara County Main Jail.
